We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate web developer to join a well established development team
You will be responsible for creating web sites containing appropriate features and functionality. This will involve evaluating the most effective method of structuring the information as well as programming the data so that the application becomes dynamic and interactive. You must ensure that the theme of the solution is maintained throughout. Additionally there will be an element of testing involved to ensure that the application works as intended.
Preferably educated to degree level in a science/computing subject, you must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions. A keen eye for detail is essential as is a genuine excitement for web technologies.
You must have the following technical skills:
• have experience of devising and developing bespoke web applications in C# and .Net 2 with complex user interfaces and custom controls
• have experience of object oriented programming
• have used XML to store and structure data
• have experience of creating and consuming web services
• have the ability to formulate and organise complex data structures
• be experienced in database design and build
• the ability to manipulate graphics e.g. for integration and optimisation purposes
• have experience of CSS based cross browser and cross platform development
• be conversant with web standards including W3C XHTML 1.0/1,1, CSS 2 and WCAG 1.0
• be familiar with the construction and deployment of automated building and smoke tests
