SENIOR WEB / UI DEVELOPER
ROLE
* Write the Ajax presentation layers of a cutting-edge, analytics-driven enterprise system and a consumer-facing transactional web portal, built on a sophisticated rules engine and business process management platform
* Work with veteran designer to create UI frameworks and components for web and mobile platforms
* Rapidly create fully functional prototypes wired to sample datasets, with help from data architect and back-end developers
* Learn and apply today next-generation technologies that will become mainstream in a few years, including real-time analytics, model-driven apps, rules-based decisioning, goal-based case management as they relate to self-configuring UIs
* This is not a UI design or management role
REQUIRED
* 5+ years of comprehensive experience in web-application development
* 5+ years of D/XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
* 2+ years of JSP, PHP or other frameworks used to develop dynamic web applications
* 2+ years of dedicated AJAX development experience, including:
Back button, history, session, state and bookmarks
Single-page interfaces
Browser-server interactions
Event and object modeling
DOM manipulation
Programming patterns
AJAX libraries and tools
* Experience with popular JavaScript frameworks (Prototype, YUI, Dojo, ExtJS, etc)
* Hands-on experience with JSON and XML transformations
* Strong knowledge of OO design, common design patterns and MVC modeling
* Full command of cross-browser / performance / web-standards issues
PREFERRED
* BS/MS in Computer Science or comparable enterprise work experience
* Experience with web services, SOAP, SOA or other web-based, multi-tier architectures
* Experience Flash/Flex (Object Oriented Action Script 2/3, Flash Remoting, Data Binding, Components, etc.)
* Experience developing accessible websites (Section 508, W3C WAI Guidelines, etc.)
* Experience with web analytics solutions (Omniture / WebSideStory, Web Trends, etc.)
* Experience in API design
* Knowledge of SQL Server and/or J2EE architectures and development environments
* Experience with agile development methodologies: short-development iterations, test-driven development, prototyping and re-factoring
COMPENSATION
* Salary range: $100 - $120k base plus stock options and performance-based bonus
