Due to unprecedented expansion and key client wins, we have a unique opportunity for a middleweight web developer to develop his/her career with the potential to be fast-tracked to senior developer level and possibly CTO. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial/agency environment developing content-managed and e-commerce websites. You will be fluent in one or more of the following: ColdFusion, .asp, asp.net, .php and have a good understanding and experience of (X)HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
You will demonstrate enthusiasm for and a good knowledge of web and new media technologies. You will also have good communication skills and a high standard of English and Maths as this is potentially a client-facing role.
The successful candidate will have a great portfolio of previous programming work, so please include relevant URLs in your application.
Key duties include:
- Programming, coding and general housekeeping of websites
- Producing creative and technical ideas for new and existing sites
- Database and server management
- System testing
- Assisting in the writing of functional and technical specifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years commercial experience of one or more of the following:
- ColdFusion
- .asp/.net
- .php
System and Database Design with an excellent working knowledge of either mySQL or SQL server
- HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Good knowledge of webservices/XML
- Windows 2003 server
- A good working understanding of Web Standards, Accessibility, and SEO
- Creative flair and visual literacy (inc. a working knowledge of Photoshop)
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Ideally educated to degree level
Salary: £excellent, depending on experience
