Salford City Council is looking to employ a full time creative web developer to join its highly-regarded web team.
We are looking for an all-rounder with the following skills:
- Ability to hand-code (x)HTML and CSS without reliance on visual editing tools.
- Excellent knowledge of WAI accessibility guidelines and principles.
- Thorough knowledge of current web standards and usability standards and practices in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience of working with corporate brand guidelines.
- Experience of programming and administrating enterprise level web content management systems (we currently use OpenText Livelink).
- Experience of implementing valid, accessible web templates from provided Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator files.
- Strong ASP.NET (with VB) development skills including Microsoft SQL Server programming.
- Knowledge of XML.
Salary dependent on experience. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract (with possibility of extension).
