Systems Administrator – Part-time, 0.5 fte fixed term until January 2009
We require a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Faculty IT Team, which is responsible for providing IT support to all Faculty staff and postgraduate students. You will have enthusiasm for supporting and advancing the IT function within the Faculty and will be up-to-date with cutting edge IT advances.
Deputising for the Faculty Systems Administrator you will work within the team to resolve software and hardware problems and set up new servers working alongside the Faculty Systems Administrator to administer the Faculty’s Active Directory, Linux file servers and non specialist Faculty web servers. With a good honours degree in computer science or similar relevant experience, you will have experience of practical systems administration of PC’s, UNIX (including Linux) and Window Server Technologies and Active Directory administration.
